One
Vegetable-tanned leather
Firm to start, then increasingly yours. It darkens with light and oil from your hands, and it holds a burnished edge better than anything else we work with. Our Natural pouch is made from leather from Tärnsjö Garveri in Sweden; the others from premium European vegetable-tanned leather. Choose it if you want the object to record its own history.

Two
Suede
Softer in the hand and silent in a bag. Suede does not patinate the way leather does — it stays close to how it arrived, which is exactly why some people prefer it. It marks with water, so keep it dry.

Three
The lining
The part nobody photographs and everybody feels. Microfibre, cut oversize and turned so that no seam sits where a case can meet it. It is the reason a polished bezel comes out of the pouch the way it went in.
