Our Story
It started with a Casio.
When I was 14 years old, I bought my first watch. A Casio. Nothing fancy — but it was mine. I saved up for it, put it on my wrist, and never looked back. That watch went everywhere with me. It's still with me today.
That's when I understood something that most people never stop to think about: a watch isn't just a tool for telling time. It's a witness. It's there for every milestone, every heartbreak, every quiet victory no one else saw. It carries your story whether you realize it or not.
That Casio started my passion for watches. And that passion, eventually, led to Talecraft.
Building something from scratch
In April 2025, I started Talecraft alone. $100, a dream, and a simple question: what does a watch deserve when it's not on your wrist?
Not a drawer. Not a plastic box. Something worthy of the story it carries.
So I built it. Handcrafted in Sweden. Premium vegetable-tanned leather. Every stitch placed by hand. A pouch that protects and preserves your watch — and becomes part of its story over time.
Why Sweden?
Because Sweden is where my passion for quality and craftsmanship found its home.
Scandinavian design has always spoken to me. The simplicity. The honesty. The belief that something beautiful doesn't need to be complicated — it just needs to be made right. Clean lines, natural materials, and a respect for the hands that made it. That philosophy is at the core of everything Talecraft stands for.
Swedish production is not the easiest path. It's not the cheapest. But it's the right one. When you hold a Talecraft pouch, you're holding something made with intention — by skilled craftspeople who take pride in every stitch, in a country that has been producing quality goods for centuries.
We could have manufactured anywhere. We chose Sweden because we believe that where something is made matters. The origin is part of the story. And at Talecraft, the story is everything.
Every pouch is handcrafted in Sweden. Our Natural leather comes from Tärnsjö Garveri — a tannery founded in 1873 and one of the most respected in the world. Our remaining leather is sourced from premium European tanneries. Nothing is outsourced. Nothing is rushed.
Where we are today
We're still small. We're still a family. And we're still driven by the same question we started with — how do we make something truly worth keeping?
That Casio is still on my wrist sometimes. A reminder of where it all began.
